Does your club put out a newsletter? I receive a number of
club newsletters every month; if I'm not on your mailing list, I
would like to be. Please also include your Section Manager.
Is your club ARRL-affiliated? One of the big benefits is the
right to purchase liability insurance at a reasonable price. Many
events require the club to hold such insurance. Another benefit,
recently changed, allows your club to keep $15 from every new
ARRL membership submitted to HQ by the Club Secretary.
Really active clubs can apply to become Special Service Clubs
(SSC). SSC's get the opportunity to appoint Awards Managers, who
can check QSL cards for WAS and 5-Band WAS (HF Manager), and
VUCC awards (VHF Manager). Contact your Section Affiliated Club
Coordinator or SM for assistance in getting your club affiliated or
becoming an SSC. HF/VHF Awards Managers are:

Founded in 2006 the Alabama Contest Group is an ARRL Affiliated Club
that has grown to over 40 members located throughout Alabama and adjacent
areas. We are active in CW, PH and RTTY contests. We are the primary
supporter of the Alabama QSO Party. All that are interested in Contesting
and Amateur Radio are welcome!
The Albany Amateur Radio Club's history dates back to 1939 when
its parent club "Albany Amateur Radio Operators" was formed. The club has
been actively providing emergency communications for disasters in our area
since February 10. 1940 when a tornado struck Albany. AARC members have
continued providing communications through the years including the flood
of 1994 and the recent hurricane and tornado emergencies in 1995.
Located in Stone Mountain Georgia, the club hosts two 2m repeaters, one 220 repeater and one 440 repeater. We also host the largest hamfest in Georgia. We are an SSC club and work many events throughout the year.
The Atlanta Radio Club has been affiliated with the ARRL for over 75 years!
The Club is best known for its sponsorship of the annual Atlanta HamFestival,
a two-day event which hosts many vendors, exhibitors, flea marketers of
amateur radio equipment and other electronic equipment, including computers.
We have quite a bit of information about hamfests and other activities
happening on Puerto Rico. Amateur Radio Visitors are always given a special
guided tour of the Observatory.
The Cherokee Capital ARS meets the third Thursday of each month at the Gordon Co. EOC on Bellwood Rd, in Calhoun. The club maintains the K4WOC repeaters, 146.745- and 443.675. The club is also an SSC working several public service events each year along with ARES support of the local EMA.
The Central Florida DX Association, an ARRL-affiliated club, was founded in 1976
to organize radio amateurs in the Central Florida area who have a mutual
interest in DX chasing and contest operating. CFDXA's goals are to further the
exchange of information and cooperation between members, to promote radio
knowledge, fraternalism and individual operating efficiency, and to so conduct
club programs and activities as to advance the general interest and welfare of
amateur radio in the community.
Meeting is on the second Saturday of each month at 8:30PM in the Golden Corral
in Tifton Georgia. Repeater 147.285 + w/ 103.5 tone access. Net
is at 9:00 Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday each week.
The Columbus Amateur Radio Club is dedicated to the promotion of friendship, advancement and enjoyment
of Amateur Radio through the fellowship and association of it's members with others in the community who
have an interest in our hobby. Everyone is welcome to join in our activities that are held at different
locations and times during the year.
Dade Radio Club of Miami was organized in 1944 and has enjoyed many years of
fellowship and public service. We are a general interest amateur radio club
affiliated with the ARRL for over 50 years. The club sponsors a
worldwide gathering of amateur radio operators every February, the Tropical
Hamboree(R). Funds from the Hamboree(R) are used to sponsor college
scholarships for amateur radio operators, support repeaters and the amateur
radio community.
Located in North East Alabama our repeater stands on top of beautiful Lookout
Mountain in Fort Payne Alabama. The DeKalb County Amateur Radio Club (DCARC),
active for 25 years invites you to visit our web site and our community.
"The Five Flags Amateur Radio Association (FFARA) is a organization dedicated
to the advancement of amateur radio ("ham radio") within the Pensacola
metropolitan area, which includes Escambia and Santa Rosa counties
in northwest Florida. Members in the FFARA are interested in all
aspects of amateur radio: public service, contesting, DXing, rag chewing,
fox hunting, and digital operations. Club meetings, held on the first
Thursday of each month, include discussions on a wide variety of topics."
The Florida Contest Group (FCG), an ARRL affiliated club, is Florida's
amateur radio contest club. It's members share a common interest in the
sport of amateur radio contesting. FCG members have a wide range of
contesting experience, from beginners to World Champions. They willingly
share their knowledge and skills to promote ham radio contesting in Florida.
"FKARC monthly meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:30PM. The meetings are alternated between the Big Pine Key Fire House (on even numbered months) and the Marathon Public Library Conference Room (on odd numbered months)."
GARS regular meetings are held on the Third Wednesday of each month (except
December) at 7:30 pm local time at the AvMed Building, Health Care Park, 4300 NW
89th Blvd, Gainesville, FL. Talk-in is on 146.820(-) MHz. All interested in
Amateur Radio communications are welcome to attend the meetings.
The purpose of the ARES is to provide an organization under which all Ham
Radio operators wanting to assist in emergency communications can apply
their skills and experience in an organized manner that the public service
agencies can recognize and deal with.

resources available to its members and visitors. With 3 repeater sites
covering 2-Meters and 70-cm, our signals get out! "
"The HODARS was organized in 2007. We are located in the town of Loachapoka, Alabama which is 7 miles west of Auburn, Alabama. Our primary goal is to assist Loachapoka with any communication problems they may have. We will also provide ARRL/VE testing in the next few months. HODARS meets monthly at 7:00 PM CT on the second Tuesday at the Loachapoka Community Club House. There is always a meal prepared before each meeting."

The NFARL serves the area from Sandy Springs northward in Fulton County Ga.
With 4 repeaters on the air and numerous club activities, this club welcomes
members from the surrounding area as well. Let us know how we can enhance

The Orlando Amateur Radio Club, with the club call of W4PLB, is the largest and oldest amateur
radio club in Central Florida with over 300 members and growing. We are an American Radio
Relay League, (ARRL), affiliated club and offer many outlets for your amateur radio enjoyment and
growth. We actively support Orange County ARES/RACES and Skywarn as well as several
community service agencies.
"The Paulding Amateur Radio Club, Inc. was formed on August, 24 1998.
It presently has a membership of 36 operators located in the metro-Atlanta Georgia
area. Club meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month."
Our club meeting is held on the second Monday of each month at Memorial Regional Hospital, 3501 Johnson Street, Hollywood, Florida in the Main Auditorium. Please enter through the Main Hospital Entrance to the Main Auditorium where we hold our meeting. Talk-in on club repeaters 146.850 + w/ 91.5 tone access & 442.250 +w/114.8 tone access. Members in the PARC are interested in all aspects of amateur radio: Emergency Service, Public Service, Contesting, DXing, Fox Hunting, and Amateur Television. The Club actively supports The American Red Cross, ARES, RACES, and hosts multiple IRLP Nets on our repeaters. The ARRL Net is at 7:30 PM Friday each week.
Peace River Repeater Association is located in Port Charlotte, FL. They meet
the last Thursday of each month at the Promenade Mall in Port Charlotte, Fl.
"PCARS is a non-profit Amateur Radio organization with over 300 club members.
PCARS provides Amateur Radio emergency communications services for the
Red Cross, Red Cross shelters, Police, Fire, and for any other disasters
in Brevard County, Florida, when needed."

The PRARL is a Special Service Club founded in 1988. This site is mostly

The Sarasota Emergency Radio Club, located in Sarasota, Florida, is an
amateur (ham) radio club, dedicated to providing emergency communications
assistance during times of disaster. We work closely with the Sarasota
Chapter of the American Red Cross, Sarasota County Emergency Management,
The Florida Division of Forestry, and other groups or organizations, who
have a communications need.

"The Southeastern VHF Society (SVHFS) is a not-for-profit organization incorporated in the state of
Georgia. It was started in January 1996 to promote amateur radio operation on the bands above 50
MHz in the southeastern United States. The SVHFS holds a Technical Conference once a year. The goal of the conference is to raise the
technical level of amateurs by providing a forum for presenting technical papers relating to VHF, UHF,
and Microwave, to provide a focal point for discussions on operating practices and procedures, on
exploration of modes such as EME, MS, FAI, E-skip and other topics that promote operation on
Amateur bands above 50MHz."
STARS club meets the second Thursday of each month at RJ's Restaurant in
Statesboro. We eat together at 6 p.m., with the formal meeting following
at approximately 7 p.m. All are welcome.
The Tampa Amateur Radio Club (TARC) is one of the largest amateur radio
clubs on the West Coast of Florida and has been an ARRL affiliated club
since 1935. TARC has it's own clubhouse with a well equipped radio room.
The club sponsors TARCFest held during April and August each year.
The Walton County Amateur Radio Club is comprised of ham radio operators from DeFuniak Springs Fl. and the rural areas of Northwest Florida. We are still a growing club
and our slate of activities is also growing!
